The protective isolation of an island, shields against the aggressive daily modern life.

 

Being from inland I have always had that sensation when living on an island. The first piece I made was thought as a container for small plants. A personal versión of Penjing, Bonsai or Saikei.

After that other Islands came and were designed following a particular shape or topography.

 

Soon after I finally came across another well known Island, due to

its frenetic activity and skyline: New York City.

The contrasts of a great city, where individuals become islands in the crowd.
